C++: Meyers – Move Semantics

scottmeyersphoto Although a bit old, this presentation by Scott Meyers at ACCU 2011 can probably be considered one of the references on this subject.

The full title is Scott Meyers on Move Semantics, Perfect Forwarding, and Rvalue references and was presented during ACCU 2011.  As the name implies, the session focuses on move semantics, probably the most important feature of C++11, but also discusses two more related subjects, perfect forwarding and Rvalue references, key concepts for understanding the move semantics.

Scott Meyers style is alert and funny, and the presentation was condensed in 90 minutes, although normally should take about 3 hours, so some details were deliberately skipped.

The quality is not great, but the content is worth the effort of viewing.
